These Terms of Use govern your use of FiguredMoney (figuredmoney.com, “the Site”), operated by David Pagola (“we,” “us,” or “the owner”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
What the Site provides
The Site provides free online calculators and educational content about personal finance. All results are estimates provided for informational purposes only and are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, as further described in the Disclaimer, which is part of these Terms.
Acceptable use
You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Site or the systems that serve it
- Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or overload the Site, other than search-engine indexing
- Misrepresent the Site's results as professional advice, or remove or alter any notice on the Site, including this one
Intellectual property
The Site's content, design, text, and calculator implementations are owned by David Pagola and are protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may view and use the Site, and print or save results for your personal records, but you may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Site's content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Your inputs and results
The calculators run locally in your browser; the Site does not collect, store, or transmit the numbers you enter (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the accuracy of the numbers you enter and for how you interpret and act on the results.
No warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, David Pagola and FiguredMoney will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its results — including financial decisions made in reliance on a calculator's output.
Third-party services and links
The Site displays advertising served by third parties, including Google AdSense, and links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, products, services, or privacy practices of those third parties.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
